IBM and four other companies have joined the nonprofit Pittsburgh Digital Greenhouse, a state-funded consortium of universities, companies and nonprofits seeking to make southwestern Pennsylvania a computer chip-design center. The other four new members are Accipiter Systems Inc., Aeptec Microsystems, Novocell Semiconductor and Vesper Networks Inc. The additions give the Greenhouse 27 members.
