Network Simulation
Consulting Services (OPNET Tool Suite)
A greater number of customers are requiring that
data communication networks be simulated before build-out of the
networks occurs. The uses of modeling and simulation include:
-
Engineering network
capacity and performance to ensure the network is interoperable with
other networks that connect to it.
-
Testing the effects
of adding applications to an existing
network prior to installing the new applications on the production
network.
-
Testing new
architectures, algorithms and protocols for next generation data
communications systems prior to committing
the designs into software or hardware.
-
Performance
engineering against a variety of application
traffic types (voice, video, data).
-
Understanding the
operation of protocols (IPV6, MPLS, WLAN, PNNI)
-
Troubleshooting
existing networks.
Accipiter Systems brings years of experience to
network simulation using the OPNET network simulation tool suite for
simulation of wired and wireless networks. Past experience includes:
OPNET modeling and simulation of large scale MPLS
Computer networks. This research analyzed three worst case,
large scale MPLS simulation scenarios.
OPNET modeling and simulation of a payload and
protocol agnostic switch router. Models were developed for a high
capacity, payload and protocol agnostic switch router node and then
simulated MPLS running on a network built from these switch router
nodes.
