Marconi Communications awards contract to Accipiter Systems

Accipiter Systems has been awarded a contract by Marconi Communications to perform development work for a Gigabit Ethernet/10-Gigabit Ethernet line card that will be deployed in its high-end Multi-service Switch Router.

Gigabit Ethernet has become a pervasive transport technology for networks, and 10-Gigabit Ethernet is becoming widely adopted for trunking between large switch routers in the core of service provider and large enterprise networks.  Gigabit and 10-Gigabit Ethernet solutions are useful for facilitating the deployment of IP and MPLS based networks.
